THE STORY
The Auberge Catalane is the result of a love story.
Convalescing at the end of the First World War (1914-1918) from his serious injuries, Michel Tariscon, originally from Saint Cyprien on the Roussillon coast, went to recover in the property of who had been his “war godmother”, Caroline Ramonatxo.
They fell in love and got married, deciding to create a way of life for the family together: the Auberge Catalane hotel and restaurant created in 1929.
In all this time this establishment was run by three generations of the family until the Monsieur Tariscon’s granddaughter decided to retire.
The present owners

We, Isabel and Jordi, decided that when our two children were grown up, we would work together on what we most liked, which was working with people, taking care of them and of ourselves.
After more than 30 years working in the administration and in advertising multinationals, we dreamt up a small hotel project with just a few rooms, but with a warmth that made each of us feel special.
Along the way, and almost by chance, we came across the Auberge Catalane and fell in love with it.
Every day in the life of the Auberge and in La Cerdanya is different, magical and intoxicating. We do everything we can to maintain and recover the spirit and personality of this emblematic establishment of the region.
